Castle Whisky
Castle Whisky is the fruit of a collaboration between the Swiss Castles Association and the Säntis Malt from Brasserie Locher.
It is first matured in Appenzell before being aged in a wine barrel (Cabernet/Merlot) made by Brunner, the winemaker of the vineyards at Wildegg Castle.
The 9-year-old 51.1% whisky can be purchased at the Museum Aargau stores (April to October): Castle Whisky - Museum Aargau
Heidegg Castle now also offers a castle whisky with a regional touch from Lucerne's Seetal valley: Heidegger Castle Whisky Heidegger Castle Whisky
Oberhofen Castle now offers the first castle whisky with the flair of the Lake Thun region.
